Core Stacks is an object that borrows proportions from the standard seating height of commercial furniture but is guided by sculptural outcomes. The work is comprised of 16 concrete pipes and is defined by the presence of copper sulphate crystals, which are covering the internal surfaces and spilling out into the exterior.

The use of concrete pipes is a deliberate reference to the pipelines and underground infrastructure used by the mining industry, suggesting the complex relationship we have with mineral extraction.
