Yesterday, Tomorrow, considers the daily rituals of leaving and arriving the various locations we visit during a day. While furniture often remains a fixed and static the people who live with it are a constant influx of energy, highs & lows. Yesterday, Tomorrow console embodies a sense of walking out and walk-in to a space, the two sets of colours speaks to the different people we are at the start of the day to the end of the day. Flemings surreal semi-human sculptural console explores ways in which material and shape can become life like, focusing on removing the static element of objects and embracing the unique record of human touch through the use of sculpting plaster and pigment.
